Markins Lever Release Quickshoe is a major breakthrough for professional photographers. It combines the best of both worlds, efficiency of lever release and compatibility of screw release. It is lightening quick and easy to fully open and close the quickshoe, while it has the flexibility to be adjusted for plates that are slightly larger than Markins standard.
Quick Release Lever
The lever arm is convertible to either left or right hand position for one’s own convenience.
Double Safe Guide Cam (DSGC)
Double safe quide cam (DSGC) style lever cam is first invented by Markins.
It better protects the cam shaft from deformation by shock. It is durable and compact.
Clamp Torque Adjustment Screw (TAS)
Plates can be precisely and securely clamped because of the clamp torque adjustment.
Double cone spring design of TAS system won’t be loosened by vibration.
These new designs of Markins’ lever style quickshoes overcome the shortcomings of the conventional lever style quickshoes.
Note: We recommend the lever style release only if one has plates from single maker. It is known that different brands have different sizes of Arca-Swiss style plates. Though Markins’ lever release quickshoe is adaptable to accommodate different brands of plates, it won’t be practical to do so in the field with mixed brands of plates. We strongly recommend to use a single brand of plates with this lever release quickshoes. With mixed brands of plates, the traditional screw-knob style quickshoe will be more flexible.
Two Direction Lever Position (TDP)
Unlike the conventional lever style quickshoes,
the lever arm of Markins’ lever quickshoes is convertible to either left or right hand position for one’s own convenience.
Easy Opening and Closing:
The quickshoe opens/closes fully in one quick lever action even with hand with glove on.
Adjustable Clamping Distance (Patented):
The clamping distance is user-adjustable by turning the adjustment screw for plates larger than Markins standard such as Kirk or RRS.
Convertible Lever Arm Position (Patented):
The lever arm is convertible to either left or right hand position for one’s own convenience.
Protected Lever Cam Mechanism (Patented):
The lever cam mechanism is embedded inside of the quickshoe, which vastly reduces the chance that the lever mechanism could be damaged by accidental impact.

The lever arm stays compact either opened or closed position.
